Comprehensive instructions for setting up payroll categories, allowances, currencies, and conversion rates within the HR Resolve ecosystem.
Payroll Categories
Group employees for targeted payroll generation.
This feature allows the creation of payroll categories in the system. A payroll category is for grouping employees depending on how you would want their payroll to be generated. A staff member only belongs to one category.
HOW TO ADD:
Click on “Add New”.
In the displayed dialogue, fill in the “Category name”.
Add an optional “Description”.
Click Save.
Allowances
Define employee benefits and bonuses.
This feature allows the creation of allowances in the system. You can control the visibility of these allowances on the final payroll documents.
HOW TO ADD:
Click on “Add New”.
In the displayed dialogue, fill in the “Category name”.
Add an optional “Description”.
Click Save.
- Click “Add New”
- Fill in “name” and optional “description"
- Check if allowance will be displayed on payroll
Currencies
Multi currency system management.
This feature allows the creation of currencies that will be used in the system for international payroll operations.

Currency Conversions
Managing rates relative to Ugandan Shillings (UGX).
1. Adding a Conversion Rate
Select Add New , choose your currency, define the rate to base (UGX), and save.

Select the “activate”
or “play” action
button. Confirm in the
dialogue by selecting
“Yes”.

Select the “pause”
action button.

dialogue by selecting
“No”.
